The Beauchene village store, bar and restaurant is at a distance of 1.5 km and Lonlay l'Abbaye with its attractive medieval abbey is 3 kms away.
It has a baker, mini-supermarket, traiteur, hairdresser, bank, post office, doctor, pharmacy, bar and restaurant.It is home to the Lonlay biscuit factory,
as well as a new organic micro brewery.


Fishing, swimming, canoeing and tennis can be done locally. It is lovely gently hilly countryside perfect for exploring on foot or by bicycle.
At Bagnoles de l'Orne (ca.20 kms) horse riding, climbing, 9 hole golf course, heated swimming pool.


Domfront, the ancient capital of Basse Normandie, is about 12 kms away. There is a medieval old town, castle ruins and a small weekly market.

The busy town of Flers is 15 kms away. Here are 3 large supermarkets, a good range of independant shops and a well stocked organic supermarket. There is a market twice weekly.
